New to Suzuya as I am, I surely can't be doing everything right. If there's something I need to improve on, please tell me here! Also please don't be rude, concrit is wonderful, but insults are never helpful.

Orientation: Straight! Though he's mom enough I don't think he would terribly protest anyone he was familiar with of either gender. He's the type to take care of people in general.

Personality: When you look at Suzuya on the outside, the kind of person you see is actually quite calm and collected, rarely one to react with a raised voice. In fact, at times when he should be upset, at times when the other characters question how he can be so calm, he responds saying that when nobody else is, he at least should be calm. He is able to keep doing this sort of thing because of a kind consideration for the people around him. Certainly he will tease if the moment comes to it, but he will not try to hurt anyone, opting instead to maintain their happiness at the cost of his own. Beyond that, his kindness allows him to smooth over hurt feelings some of the time that happen because of arguments between those around him, maintaining the general peace of the group. Or at the least maintaining it as best as is possible.

On top of his general verbal kindness, it's been expanded into more physical aspects of who he is as well. Suzuya is actually quite peaceful by nature, reassuring Tsukiko that he isn't about to start fighting other boys, as he'd said is fairly normal for those his age. In fact, he never steps in with any kind of physical display to stop the fights between Kanata and Yoh, instead opting to calm them with a few words, and some food he's prepared himself, because nobody can resist his cooking, and he's very aware of it. Yet even so there are some times when the peaceful Suzuya can be pushed into a much more physical solution. When his close friends are threatened or hurt, his protective side kicks into high gear, at which point he proves that he isn't someone to be taken lightly in a fight. But he's more than just strong, the way he can smile in a way that doesn't reach his eyes as he fights, then tells someone in no uncertain terms to back down is frightening proof that if you mess with those he cares about, he is absolutely not above making you regret it.

In that way, he almost comes across more as a mother than as a childhood friend. Even the other characters sometimes refer to him as mom. Though for the most part they say it in a teasing way he is just that. Suzuya takes it upon himself to take care of his friends, making sure they wake up for school, making sure they've eaten properly and making sure they're looking after their health. And just like all mothers tend to do, he worries about them openly. Perhaps even in some cases too openly to the point it can seem suffocating to some people. This worrying is part of Suzuya's way of showing that he cares about his friends, especially Tsukiko and Kanata, very much. He wants only the best for them, wants them happy and healthy--or at least as healthy as is possible.

But though he can show he cares through worry and taking care of his friends, he can sometimes have trouble actually saying it. Admitting to his feelings beyond this calm, pleasant outward behavior is something Suzuya has always held himself back from doing. But he's closed off not for his own sake really, but for the sake of those around him. Not admitting to his feelings for Tsukiko because Kanata loved her being a prime example of how he holds back for the sake of others. But his reluctance to admit to his feelings for the sake of others doesn't mean that his feelings aren't strong. In fact, deep down he is actually very possessive of Tsukiko, the person he loves most. He wants to be the only one in her life, the only one close to her. Of course this possessiveness isn't limited only to Tsukiko. Suzuya was possessive of Kanata as well in their childhood, when his two friends introduced him to an older boy who also seemed inclined to take care of them.

Though he never said anything, he was jealous of this new addition to their group, jealous that his two best friends had picked someone else older than them to look up to and rely on. He'd begun at first to fear he was going to be replaced. This is the start of the insecurity that has actually remained in him, deeply hidden through his life. An insecurity that somewhat comes out once Yoh is added to the group in high school. He doesn't want to be replaced, to lose the things in his life that he treasures most. And yet he would never let on, not until he finally opened up thanks to Yoh's open nature. Though still to those not in his circle of close important friends, he is unlikely to show anything beyond his calm, kind nature.

Abilities: Suzuya is an amazing cook! So good in fact that a half French boy adores his cooking! Also everyone else does. It's also implied that he can fight fairly decently if he absolutely has to. Though he would greatly prefer not to have to. His talent for being threatening and scary while smiling might also count as an ability!

First Person: [Immediately upon being turned on, the camera focuses on Suzuya's smiling face, even early in the day as it is. From what can be seen behind him, he seems to be standing by a window in the kitchen.]

It looks like the sky will be clear enough tonight to see the stars. So, is anyone interested in joining me for stargazing at one of the smaller parks? I know a lot of good stories about the different stars and constellations. If we meet up just before sunset, we can be in place to get the best views of the stars.

[His expression is briefly thoughtful, before the smile returns.]

Ah, I'll also be preparing some snacks for anyone who shows up, so let me know if there's anything you'd like me to make. To anyone who wants to come, don't forget to dress warmly, and bring some blankets if you think you'll need them!

[He nods just once, before giving a brief, small wave and clicking off the video feed.]

Third Person: Suzuya set the pot full of water onto the stove, switching the heat to medium high and letting the water sit and slowly come to a boil. That would give him enough time to prepare the various things that needed to be boiled for one of the many dishes he'd prepared to cook for the special occasion. He'd missed Kanata's birthday...but well that didn't mean he wouldn't celebrate it regardless. He'd managed to prepare a list of foods he'd mastered cooking, a list that varied from foods that Kanata enjoyed, to those he absolutely loved. Far more of the latter than the former, considering the day.

But all of that aside, the food wouldn't be cooking himself, no matter how much thought had gone into the list, and obtaining the ingredients he needed. He smiled in a content manner as he placed the first of many types of vegetable on a cutting board, busying himself immediately with dicing each one at a time. Keeping them separate after of course, they would be used for so many different dishes that he couldn't have them all getting mixed together just yet. This was only the beginning after all, there was much yet left to do before he could call his preparations complete.
